Welcome! The City of Light Church is an interfaith organization dedicated to helping each member reach their highest human potential.
No longer bound by church walls, our spiritual community has come together to live and serve in the highest integrity for the liberation of all sentient beings from suffering, to promote peace on Earth, and to bridge the gap between religious traditions.
Based in Sedona, Arizona, The Sedona City of Light Church is a non-denominational foundation dedicated to helping each member reach their highest human potential, while honoring each individual’s own set of beliefs.
We have come together to live and serve in the highest integrity for the betterment of all mankind; to help people heal themselves and find peace, love, strength, and abundance in their lives on Earth.
We believe in God, the Living Spirit Almighty; one, indestructible, absolute and self-existent Cause – who dwells throughout the universe and is in all things. When a man calls out to the Heavens for intervention in time of need, he has called upon the One, True God. Many names, many paths, but only one God.
God is good, and is available. We believe the ultimate goal of life is to be liberated from suffering. We believe in the direct revelation of Truth through the intuitive and spiritual nature of man, and that any man may become a revealer of Truth who lives in close contact with the Indwelling God.
We believe in prayer and meditation. There is a power greater than ourselves willing to help, if we only have the courage to ask. Through prayer and meditation we have the power to resolve and challenge and create miracles in our lives. Only we can separate ourselves from the Divine Force of God within us.
Communion with the Spirit is one of the greatest privileges of life. It is entering into the presence of Spirit silently, and listening to and feeling the direction of our higher-selves, and the Indwelling Divine Presence in our hearts. Communion is a recognition of our relationship to that Indwelling Presence. We cannot have faith without communion because it is this communion – or our moments of silence directly experiencing the divine – that gives us the faith.
The power of prayer is generated when we consciously direct our thinking toward a specific and edifying purpose. In stillness you seek and find the wisdom to awaken your mind for the attainment of enlightenment for all sentient beings.
